3d dimensions in drawings

We are using WF5 m040. We are trying to show 3d dimension on a simple drawing that is not a full engineering drawing, but a drawing to relay some simple specs to customers. I have started this by creating annotation dimensions in the model, they are moved to a plane (right click ->move to plane), and look like what is required. When these are shown on a drawing they are not on the same plane and look messy and confusing.

How do you get annotations to behave in drawings?

If they simply do not is there a way to create 3d dimensions in a drawing in a logical manner? I have tried to create dimensions but the dimension values do not correspond with the geometry. Is there an easy fix for that one?

Thanks,

Bill
