Add the ability to add the REF_DES parameter to parts or assemblies in the model tree. This will allow the user to add the string value I.E. R1 to the part so that it will now have REF_DES value when importing the Logical
reference file in the (neutral wire format). This will allow user to benefit from using the parameters that were defined in the logical file to automatically designate components since the file defines the CREO model_name parameter and the REF_DES parameter values. Currently you have to manually select each part or assembly to match the logical file since the designation tool only is looking for model_name parameter. Use the REF_DES value as a second level of sorting when CREO tries to match your model parts to the logical file in the component designation. There are many times that the model part file will be the same I.E. like having Resistor_1_4_watt.prt multiple times in your assembly but the only difference is each has a unique REF_DES. This will speedup the time to designate components. Plus having the REF_DES in the model tree will allow to visually see if the component placed in the model is that same in the logical table. Sometimes the placement part needs to lineup with the logical file. This would also make the CREO SCHEMATICS output work so much easier. You have taken the time to identify the components uniquely in your schematic but manually have to designate them in your model.
