Let's go for my first post here!
I'm trying to add specific tolerance tables in WF5 (Creo elements/pro).
The aim is to set tolerances of a plastic part to the french standart NF T 58000 (standard for plastic parts, depending on materials) , or of a sheet metal part to the french standard NFE02-352 (standard for sheet metal part, depending on thickness & machining process).
I've tried to edit the default ISO table (with file / setting / tolérances / change / tol table ..), then to modify & save it, but when I try re-load it, I've got an error message: "unable to find file in the current folder".
Then I've tried to copy & rename the "general_def.ttl" file , then to modify it with a wordpad. When I try to load it in ProE, I've got an error message: "an error occurs when reading the file".
I'm feeling that I go to a wrong way ...
Has anybody the right way to do it ?

Congratulations on your first post and welcome to the Community.
I can help you with both of your problems. There are a few things to know:
Finally, once you've created your table, you can reuse it (using Retrieve from the same TolTblAct menu above). You can edit the table outside of Pro/E but you don't want to attempt this in a regular text editor. the best way to edit the table is within the Pro/TABLE application.
Each installation of Pro/E or Creo comes with the Pro/TABLE application. It's down inside the load point for Pro/ENGINEER. Its called protab.exe and should be in a directory named something like C:\<loadpoint>\x86e_win64\obj\protab.exe I'm on a 64 bit workstation so your path may vary if you're on a 32bit system. You can always perform a search on protab.exe. If you open your table file with this application, you will be able to make edits.

As already said before ... great, I've succeed to create & reuse my own tolerance tables!
- Adding columns
- modifying values
However , I found some limitations:
- not possible to delete lines or modify description of lines
- once modifications are done, we are not able to know which standard (NF T 58000 for example) is used.
The only possibility is to add a comment (see picture).But the part is still defined as using the ISO standard ... a little bit disconcerting.
what would have been great is to have the possibilities to create new standards:
Am I dreaming?
With this way I would be able to retrieve parameters (used standard, Model class) in the drawing.
Anyway, for the the moment, I'm able to deploy this custom ttl files for each user.

Hi Eric...
Most tables in Pro/E such as tolerance tables, termination tables, pattern tables, family tables, etc have the same kind of limitations you've reported here. You can add comments but you have to add them at specific points.
You present a nice idea for an enhancement to the tables functionality. I never have a need to use tolerance tables so I have no knowledge of what circumstances would lead to the need to create new standards. It sounds like something that PTC could probably do easily enough if someone suggested it. Perhaps you could submit this idea to one of the PTC User Technical Committees... maybe the one for modeling enhancements?
