Any way to update references of failed features without editing each one?

Is there any way of truly regenerating a model to update feature references without having to Edit Definition and Apply?

Project is smaller model of current in production which was copied. Size changes caused numerous children to fail. I'm able to clear many failed features by Edit Definition and Apply without making any modifications. Regeneration does not clear them.

Is there a better method than pounding through each of these?

I've seen that before as well. Weird, but at least you don't have to go in anf replace or update references etc. Weird that a regen doesn't work, but there you go.
