Assembly STEP files

I am trying to create STEP files of some of my assemblies WF2 M220, however when I open the created STEP files is has assembled all of the components onto the default coordsys??

Am I missing something when creating the STEP files to aviod this happening?

It sounds like you might be importing the STEPinto a part file instead of an assembly file.

use "open" and it should select assembly by default.

If you import it into a part, you might find the parts get wonkey.
