Assmbly cut - thread still showing in removed material

An assembly cut is being made on one end of a part. That end of the part had two tapped holes. Now that the material has been removed, the threads are still showing (suspended in air). Shouldn't they be gone?

Nope, those are solid cuts.

Have a look at this workaround on the drawing:

... but if the threads aren't there, then why are there cosmetic threads?

The solid holes aren't there but solid cuts don't affect the cosmetic surfaces.

David Schenken does that mean I need a cosmotologist to make a cosmetic cut?
