Automatic revision triangle

Automatic revision triangle

Solid Edge have this nice feature that automatically places triangles with a revision number in a drawing where changes has occurs after the last edit.

Does Pro/E - Creo has a similar feature that would allow to automatically identify in a drawing (DRW) where changes have been made since the last edit? If I am not mistaken, there is no way to see in a drawing if changes have been made to the associated model.

Any ideas on how to retrieve this information in a drawing?

Thanks,

There is a method to compare the two versions of drawing. What proe does is to superimpose the two drawings and the difference is highlighted. The drawback is say you have not done any change but have only moved a view, It would still be highlighted.

Proe does not have a facility to show a triangle for revision automatically. Triangles itself was used to indicate revision when worked on Tracing paper. With CAD systems it is not necessary to maintain revision history in that form. Instead a Spline is drawn around the dimension and cross-hatched to show the latest change. We have also done away with maintaining a "Revision History" on the drawing itself like we used to do on Paper drawings. Instead a PDF route is followed and only the current revision is maintained on the drawing with the older revision files put in an obsolete folder.

Nothing automatic but you can easily make your own symbol these days for a revision flag triangle. You can build in intelligence to edit the value in the triangle and add leaders if you wish.
