BOM Ballon Nightmare, there must be a way.

Good Day. I joined this group at the suggestion of the CAD Manager here. I have tried to find a solution for this from everyone here, including the PTC ProE trainer, who sent an email to the drawing lead at PTC, and no one could help. Perhaps someone here has a workaround? The Issue:

We just switched to ProE here at Komatsu and we are supposed to use the Automatic Balloons. I am detailing a large assembly, (300 items on the BOM, and 955 total QTY parts). I would like to have the BOM Balloons only split to QTY 1 Items that I choose, no matter how I tried, I was only able to make it split them all or none.

Alternatively, I would like to be able to split them all and then select all of 1 item only. If I click on one balloon, it will highlight in orange the other 93 balloons, but short of clicking on them one at a time, there is no way to use Show/Erase or Search to do this.

Alternatively, use the Search command to find and select only the 93 balloons I want, for instance, all of Item 86.

Please do not post a reply unless you are sure it will work 🙂 I have asked many people for a way to do this, and it seems simple and like there should be a way, especially since if I click on a balloon it will highlight all the others in orange, but how can I select them all without clicking on each one? (When the balloons appear they are not able to be cleaned up, and it essentially creates a 955 balloon border around the view, clicking each one of any item individually is out of the question).

We are using Wildfire 4.0 Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give. If you would like more information or some screenshots, let me know.
