Basic question about drawing

Hello all,

My question is about drawing. It is a basic question, but I can't figure it out :

I made a drawing of a part (so far easy...) :

1. I have enabled the plan view : Why are there a red and yellow line ?

2. I would like to draw a line, taking the plan as a reference : is it possible ?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Accepted Solutions

select the particular plane part

right click and select properties

select either ansi or iso datum

now when you see the plane in drawing

it will be a single line with the datum symbol

offcourse you still have to hide the planes from the display filters.

that is the datum plane. the front and back of a plane is shown in two different colors.

go to display filters and uncheck the datum planes.

Thanks.

I would like to keep the datum planes on my drawing.

Is it possible to represent the plane by just one color/line ?

yes you can by converting it into a model datum

Thanks Rohit,

How would you do that?

select the particular plane part

right click and select properties

select either ansi or iso datum

now when you see the plane in drawing

it will be a single line with the datum symbol

offcourse you still have to hide the planes from the display filters.

Thanks !

happy to help!
