Just for everyone's information, there are some excellent free tutorials

Enjoy.

When we create a new part/assembly/drawing in Pro/E (wf3) by using File >
New, it takes a looooooong time - 4 or 5 minutes. Based on some tinkering
I've done, I'm guessing that the delay is that either Pro/E or Intralink
(3.4) is checking to make sure the part number doesn't already exist.

However, if we create the item in Intralink by Duplicating an existing item,
it's nearly instantaneous.

So, here's what I'm thinking as a workaround: I want to change our standard
procedure such that instead of creating new items in Pro/E, all new models
are created in Intralink by using the Duplicate command from our start
parts.

Can anyone tell me if there are drawbacks to this that I might not be aware
of?

Thanks.
