Hi, working in creo 11
relative newbie here, im making a n64 controller for a uni project and cant thicken the quilt, i suspect there are some intersecting surfaces, but i dont know how to fix that... Any help is appreciated :))

If you are using an educational license, most here will not be able to open it as they are using commercial license.
The most likely issue is the surface is too curved to offset to the required thickness or becomes self-intersecting. Use the offset analysis tool and you might get an idea of where the problem(s) exist. Visually one can often see where the issue is when offsetting the mesh.

2.] you can apply Shaded Curvature command to analyze quilt curvature graphically
