Using Creo 2 M090
When I create a new feature, the default dimension tolerance is +/- 0.0049999998882. How can I change the default dimension tolerance to +/- 0.005?
The default in the graphics window shows the correct value, but that's not what I'm getting for new features.
I didn't see anything in the Model Properties or Configuration Editor causing +/- 0.0049999998882, so I'm stumped.
What is your model's accuracy set at? (Relative or absolute, and what value) Also, does this occur if you start from an "empty" part, or only when you start from your template (start) parts?
start part. If I use an empty part, the default tolerances are different, but the tolerance of new features (+/- .001) matches the value in the graphics window.
Relative accuracy 0.0006. I have models with different accuracies that have the same problem.
This has been going on for a long time. I actually think this happened on one of the migrations WF4 to WF5 or WF5 to Creo 2. It's really pissed me off today because I'm using DIM BOUNDS and the measurements are wrong.
Just for fun, try doing a model player regeneration, then try creating a new feature again. I'm curious if forcing the model to rebuild in Creo 2 will clean up this issue.
Nope. new feature still has tolerance of +/- 0.00499999989.
Have you tried to update your start part with the correct values?
Agree, but I'm asking what to change to make the values correct. Once I figure that out, I should be able to demonstrate the effect in "any" part, then back-port the same change into the start part. But I'm stuck at step #1.
