Changing part appearances in drawing from assembly

Hello 

 am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0

I saw this video, i tried the same method as you explained in my system with example i could not get the different color in drawing 
I have tried using different appearance

Could you please help me on this. 

 

For example, I have created new rep, new appreance and I have even created new combined state in view manager as shown in video but which ever combined state is active only that that colors are visible mode.

Hello,

Thanks for the content.

I have checked the files you have created a family table option to get the different for same part in the drawing, but how about with out family table method 

because we already have some hundred of part which are released in Windchill its difficult to have family table for all the parts.

 

Could you please help me if its possible to show  same parts with different color but with without create a instance in a part level.

I guess no other solution is available. Ask PTC Support, if you can.
