Component Simplified Reps

Component Simplified Reps

Good afternoon,
I have a component that has two simplified reps: Pre-Machined and Master.
I use the pre-machined rep of the component in an assembly. The component
shows up as the simplified rep, that is to say the machining features are
not displayed, which is as I expected.
I create an assembly drawing and the component shows up in its master rep,
not in its pre-machined rep, despite the assembly displaying only the
pre-machined rep.
I have tried every way I know to get into simplified rep menus (I have even
looked in the Pro/E help) , but I can only get to assembly simplified reps,
not to the rep at the component level.
I cannot re-create the pre-machined rep at the assembly level, because I can
only include or exclude components, not component level features, at the
assembly level.

I would like to use the pre-machined component simplified rep in my assembly
drawing.
Is this possible?
If not, how do you approach this problem?

Thanks,

Create a "pre-machined" and "machined" rep in the assembly, then redefine each one and click on the substitute tab and replace the master rep of the part with the appropriate rep. Then select the desired rep for the drawing view.

Hope this helps,
Arnold
