Constrain part to skeleton

I have a hard time understanding how skeletons work. I'm trying to create a part that's supposed to be constrained to a skeleton but can't seem to get it correctly defined nor can I simply extrude to a different part.

I have little experience with using skeletons, but here is a recent webcast  by @Lino_Tozzi  that covers the topic:  Creo-Advanced-Assembly-Tips

Basically you need to have an advanced assembly extension and copy geometry from the skeleton into the parts.  When the skeleton changes, the parts will also change because the copied geometry is linked to the skeleton.

There is always more to learn in Creo.
