I have a curved part that I would like to dimension with a contour dimension. Is there an easy/robust way to create this type of dimension.

This all depends on how you need to measure/inspect the part. Is the part "curved" in two planes (I.E. a shape driven linearly) or in three (I.E. crowned like a windshield)?
