Creo 2 Draft Check

Creo 2 Draft Check

Creo 2, M020

I just did my first draft check in Creo 2, what a mess.  I selected the
part from the model tree, like I've done for years, then a datum plane
as my draft direction.  Creo is checking all my surface features as well
as the solids; I don't think it did this in the past.

How do I exclude surfaces from my draft checks in Creo 2?

An update on what's actually happening.

Creo seems to be ignoring my layer settings and displaying all my
construction surfaces and then showing the draft check on the entire
part, including those surfaces.  When the draft check is dismissed, the
surfaces all remain and it takes changing a layer display and then
changing it back to get them to go away.

Doug,

I'm not on Creo2, so this may not work, but in the past with WF4, I have
had "spotty" luck with selecting the model off of the tree, so instead, I
go used to using the following method...

After you select the draft check tool, do an "on screen" query select
until you get "SolidGeom".

Good Luck

I just tried a part in the M020 build of Creo 2.0 that contained both solid and surface geometry. The surface layer was off and saved with that status. I picked the part in the model tree, then changed the filter to Component, then changed the filter to Solid Geom, and lastly used pre-selection highlighting to select the solid geometry. In all cases when I picked my draft plane it only checked the solid geometry. Not sure why the surfaces are being picked.
