Creo 3.0 will not extrude using windows 8.1

Anyone have any ideas? We had a fresh install of windows 8.1 enterprise. and loaded Creo 3.0 as usual. Can create a part draw a rectangle and fails to extrude and crashes.

This is happening to me also.  Need answer.

This can be due to graphics failure.

Try this:

1. Browse to installation location of Creo\Common files\M..\text\

2. Open Config.pro in text editor and add graphics win32_gdi to bypass graphics card and test the issue.

Thank you. It works now.

However, I can no longer double click on a dimension to change it. I must right click and hold, then change the dimension in the pop up window. I have checked to make sure my graphics driver is up to date also.

Yes, that will be an issue with the config option BUT that will avoid exit of Creo 3.0. As application is working with that option, issue is with graphics only. Check machine hardware infromation at Platform Support - PTC.com

Glenn,

Does the information in post help you to prevent exit of Creo 3.0?
