Hi everybody,
I tried to conect my creo parametric 2.0 with ansys wb 14.5.1, but the ansys cad configuration tell me that the version of my creo is not compatible (image).
I see in ansys website that it is.
can anyone help me?
sorry for my english.
thanks in advance

Nelson, the Training section of this forum might not be the right forum. I think when you post it in the Analysis & Simulation section, you will get more visibility by the experts on the topic!
http://communities.ptc.com/community/creo/analysis-and-simulation
Good luck!
Thanks Bettina,
can i move this topic to the analysis & Simulation section? not to duplicate the topic

Hi,
We have same issue. How can we solve it? Is there any suggestion.
It is ANSYS Installation problem.
#2027118 - Creo 2.0 Version not detected when running the ANSYS CAD Configuration Manager in ANSYS 14.5
Product: Unified Installer
Version: 14.5
Area: Systems/Installation
SubArea: CAD Interfaces
Answer:
Upgrade the ANSYS CAD Configuration Manager, attached to this Solution.
To install perform the following steps:
Extract the contents of the zip file to %AWP_ROOT145%\commonfiles\CAD\bin\%ANSYS_SYSDIR%
Backup the existing utility by renaming Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility.exe to be Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility_Official.exe
Rename the extracted file (Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility.exe.new) to be Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility.exe.
Resolution Documents:
Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility.exe.new
i didnt find the zip file with the answer above so i extracted the file from Ansys installer and did it but the result is the same..
Prerequisites ..... Configure Success
CP Workbench PlugIn ..... Not Configured -- Invalid Creo Parametric Version
CP ICEM ..... Not Configured
Creo 2 does work properly with ANSYS 14.5.7. We have tested it as we are migrating to Creo 2 next week. I cannot confirm, either way, Creo 2 and ANSYS 14.5.1 compatibility, but I do seem to remember a "dot" update to ANSYS 14 that is required to work with Creo 2 - maybe it is 14.5.7.
Customers on ANSYS Support can download Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility-64bit.zip (Ans.CadInt.CADConfigurationUtility-32bit.zip) from article #2027118 on /support.ansys.com
The same issue was in ANSYS 14.0 & Creo 2.0.
Please see below how to resolve the issue manually.
Also, the existing ANSYS 14.0 plug-in can be manually configured to run with
Creo 2.0 by performing the steps detailed in section 7.1.4 of the ANSYS 14.0 Help. Paste this string into the Path field of the Help viewer:
// Installation and Licensing Documentation // Windows Installation Guide // 7. Configuring CAD Products :: 0 // 7.1. Using the CAD Configuration Manager :: 0 // 7.1.4. Creo Parametric Configuration
The configuration steps are also repeated below:
Create WBPlugInPE.dat file in
%AWP_ROOT140%\aisol\CADIntegration\%ANSYS_PROEWF_VER140%\ProEPages\config
(See below for contents.)
Create a config.pro file in either <Path to Creo 2.0>\Common
Files\<ShipCode>\text or %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%. (See below for contents.)
Running the plug-in configured this way has the following known issues:
Some files without a version extension at the end will not import unless
the CAD system is active. (Specific to Creo 2.0)
Updating the with invalid parameters does not automatically roll-back the
model to last valid state. (Creo 1.0 and 2.0)
Reader attach/update may fail when running on Windows 7. (Creo 1.0 and 2.0)
