Has anyone ever worked with Grayloc Hub fittings in Creo Spec Piping?
The hub fitting is similar to a flange, but instead of a gasket, it uses a seal ring and clamp assembly to seal the mechanical joint.
In lieu of the gasket, it seems to me that I could make an assembly fitting (seal ring, clamps, and studs) and use the fitting code Gasket, but I am having difficulty making this work. Is it possible to have a Gasket assembly fitting?
Any thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

In the past I have used assemblies in non spec driven piping and that worked well enough. I can't quite remember how to setup in spec driven, however this might help you. The issue with spec driven I think is you will need the correct spec for the terminations and they would need to be defined in the assembly level. So if it is a Gasket code connection the mating definition will need to be Gasket.
When in non-spec driven you need to define the CSO's for the input and output ends and also the point that defines position (branches also need defined if they are present) in the assembly level. Creo won't let you choose the part level CSO. Also when we generated the bom tables we needed to flatten the assembly and filter it out of the table.

I believe that I am defining the spec parameters correctly on the assembly terminations (END_TYPE and SIZE) and the assembly parameter FITTING_CODE = GASKET, but it just doesn't seem to accept the assembly as a valid gasket. Perhaps I am not adding it to the pipe spec correctly?...
