DOT line style appears as a straight line on the screen

All dot lines (center line, axis, dotted line, etc.) appear as solid lines.

I reinstalled and overwritten the config file and setup file with the existing ones.

Before re-installation, it appeared as a dotted line properly.

Hello @BK_8551144

Seems to occur in 3D Mode as per your snapshot ('Part and Sketcher environment). May this be due to Units configured - eventually different from the units you have the habit to work on?

  • This can be checked under >File >Prepare >Model Properties >Uints
  • If units are different than the usual ones, and if this occurs fo new parts, the object where template_solidpart points to is maybe improperly reconfigured or missing?

Regards,

Serge

Thanks for answer.

The unit is using a normal mmKs unit.

The same phenomenon appears not only for new parts but also for existing 3d/2d models.

When I run the same file on a colleague's computer, it appears as a normal dotted line.

It only appears as a solid line on my computer.

And also the path and file of template_solidpart are not missing either.

Hello @BK_8551144

Thanks for those verifications and feedback. Seems that everything is then configured properly in the impacted machine. I searched our Knowledge Base but was unable to locate any relevant case/article/SPR dealing with this unexpected behavior. Some ideas come nevertheless to me as follows for the troubleshooting process:

First test suggested:

  1. Uninstall Creo Parametric
  2. Reinstall it in a path without spaces (example C:\PTC\Creo7)
  3. Check if issue persists

Second step suggested (based on outcome of test above); If issue persists:

  1. Please let lus know the Creo Version/Datecode you just reinstalled
  2. Share DXDIAG information of the impacted machine in this post
  3. We will check for you if configuration is supported, starting from our PTC Platform Support page

(You may want to have a look at it in parallel as well)

Regards,

Serge

Hi,

I don't want to reinstall.

It is too cumbersome to set up again.

When I checked, only DOT_CTRL_FONT came out as a solid line.

All other dotted line types such as CTRLFONT_MID_L and CTRLFONT_S_S are displayed normally.
