Data Loss Prevention (DLP) from PDF drawings created by Creo 3

Years ago I heard that the movie industry watermarked DVD screeners to fingerprint the copy to catch someone if it's uploaded online.

We have PDF drawings that I'd like to use such a technology but don't know where to look. My thought on many of these DLP products is that if someone can take a picture of it shown on a monitor, it can be easily copied.  Even fingerprinting each PDF to the user who opens the PDF is still reactionary but better that nothing.

What software can accomplish this?

Adobe used to have a product that offered even more precise intellectual property control via an authentication server. When the document was opened it requested a password, but it also checked to see if that password was still good. This way the originator could limit the time a document was able to be opened by changing the settings for the document on the authentication server.

PTC had this integrated into their product line for a while, but I think they dropped it.
