Delete and Re-add server->Local Cache

A user was out of the country for a week, with a borrowed license. When
he got back he had trouble getting back on to Windchill intralink.
Message was "No Server" or "Server not supported" even though it was
listed it would not connect. I deleted the server, then re-added it.
Today he is noticing that his models seem to be reverted back to the
last upload. He had parts in his local cache that were not uploaded
when he left.
So... when I deleted server, then re-added did I in effect delete this
guys local cache?

I'd say, "Yep!"

I might also say, "Check in your work! Especially if you are going on vacaction or otherwise won't be around."

Yes you did.

Inside the local cache are files that start with lid_ and sid_ Those are the ProE/Creo files. The ones you have to worry about are the lid_ files. Those are the ones that have been locally modified and don't match what's on the server.

There is a utility on the PTCUser site that will rename these files to the original filenames so that the guy can get his files. Pull the cache out of the trash, grab all the files that start with lid_ and place them in a folder. Then you can run the program on them. It's in the download section.
