Export 3D mechanism

More and more customers are asking us to give them 3D mechanisms of our product. They want to be able to move our model and add their own models.

We know how to make Mechanisms in Creo. Problem is, is there any kind of interchange standard for this? Is there any free program which can import mechanisms from Creo?

Best regards

Daniel Garcia

I haven't done it in a while, so I can't give you a step-by-step lesson, but it is possible to get Creo Parametric mechanisms to work in Creo View.  It's a bit tricky though; you have to create a "frames" file of an animation in Parametric, and load that into Creo View separately from the *.pvz.  If your mechanism is only one degree of freedom this can work well, as you can drag the animation slider back and forth in Creo View, to show the range of motion. If you've got two degrees of freedom, this won't work as well, as you won't be able to control each degree of freedom independently.
