Friction material

Users,

I'm not sure if this is best list to post this on.

I need to design a tablet stand with a friction pad. I have a cheap
trade show give away stand that has a material that does exactly what I
need, but, I have no idea what this material is or how to figure out
what it is.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this stuff is or how I could find
out. I already tried asking the loctite rep, she does not know where
they got these from.

Thanks
Chris

Considering it was a trade show giveaway, I would rule out elastomers or silicones and say it a compression molded rubber.

Could be Sorbothane. Very sticky rubber.
