Graphics Quality Issues in Creo 11 2D drafting After Upgrade from Creo 8

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0

Dear PTC Support Team,

We recently upgraded our Creo software from version 8 to version 11. Since this upgrade, some users have reported a significant decrease in the quality of 2D drafting outputs. Specifically, when zooming out in 2D drawings, the lines and texts appear blurred and less sharp compared to Creo 8.

We have thoroughly checked the graphics card settings on the affected workstations, and everything appears to be correctly configured. Additionally, we have tested all the solutions recommended in the PTC community article (Article - CS169272) without success.

Could you please confirm if there are any known graphics-related issues in Creo 11 that could cause this blurring effect? Furthermore, we would appreciate any effective workarounds or fixes that you could provide to resolve this issue.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Check your config settings. I think by default anti-aliasing is set to 8x or something in Creo11. Turning that off will make the text sharp again like it was in 8 But be warned. We are fighting another issue in Creo 11 where when you click something..it doesnt always get selected. (even though its already pre-highlighted) This happens in 2d drawings for dimensioning and also in 3D when selecting surfaces for something for coloring or measuring in 3d.

PTC has been unable to reproduce this on their end. Even though we have probably 20 computers here all showing the same symptoms.  😞

You posted this on the community board, not PTC Tech support. You may get some help here within the community but if you want to open a tech support ticket, please try that again and make sure you don't let it direct you to make a post on the community.

Hi,

FYI ... you posted your question on the user community website and not on the PTC support website. Please contact PTC Support.
