How to avoid font mismatch while importing DXF in drawing ?

Hi..

As we are getting many supplier drawing in DXF formats so while we import the DXF in drawing the text font get disturb or mismatch.

so is there any guideline we have to follow to avoid such issues. OR is there any process to import DXF properly in drawing. ?

please suggest, as we are facing this issues every time.

e.g. in below snap it is shown that text goes outside the box, but at the time of supplier given it was OK.

Hi..

One reason is due to using different text font in dxf which is not available in Creo. So is there any generic solution to resolve this permanently.

Thanks,

Prashant Pandarkar

Prashant,

Have you checked out PTC Document CS71172?

You can setup a DXF import (and export) mapping file that will map the DXF font to a specific PTC font (usually a TTF).  Set config.pro option intf2d_in_dxf_mapping_file.  An example export mapping file is in <lp>\<buildcode>\Common Files\text\intf_configs (Creo 3.0).

Dan N.
