I would like to edit my weld symbols in Creo. I don't know anything about this but from the brief research I have done have found where to do this. I just don't know how or if there is a way better than what I am doing. I go to the Symbol Gallery and retrieve my symbol to edit. Below is a screenshot of what I get when trying to edit. It is a complete mess and I can't click what I want unless I move other things out of the way.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Probably not.
A sketch is an interactive program that does not have any model geometry. It isn't until it is 'compiled' from the sketch into datum curves/model edges that it becomes reachable from the DXF export functions.
Likely the best solution may be to create a part within your assembly. Make your sketch in that part, in the context of the assembly. You can then open just that part and save that part as a DXF. Not sure it saves you any steps but if your assembly is large, making a drawing with the assembly could be time consuming.
It the assembly is large, a simplified rep that eliminated all the components would leave the datum curve displayed.
But now someone will point out they don't have a license that allows them to make a simplified rep as if I personally prevented them from getting said license and am purposely withholding an answer that would work without it. Sigh.
