How to fix TABLE to edge of drawing sheet

How to fix TABLE to edge of drawing sheet

I made table format to create BOM. And I want to fix this table at the edge of drawing template when I need.

In drawing frame edit mode, I can set the table to edge of drawing frame. (Because I can select frame line.)

But I cannot fix in drawing. (use XY coordinate I can fix, I know. It is burdensome operation I think.)

Do you have any ideas of this solution?

Hello KATSUAKI HONDA

what about put table into drawing layer and hide/unhide this layer?

This way we have solved multi-languages formats ---> 3 tables (czech, english and german) are placed at same place and thrue layers we are calling desired table. Evrerytime 2 of them are hidden and 1 is unhiden.

Hi,

entities sketched in Format mode are not accessible in Drawing format. To be able to solve your problem you can use following procedure to:

  • create drawing template
  • include format into drawing template
  • in drawing template - sketch entity used for table placement (it overrides drawing frame defined in format)
  • use drawing template to create drawing

Hi

Thank you for your quick answer!

Yes, It is better than use coordinate!

But this method, I need to control many drawing format in office.

(Most of drawings, I need to delete this table. So I prepare 2 types(with / without table) each sheet size)

Hello, Milan Bonka

Thank you for your idea!

Hi, Milan

You say "desired table" is made in .frm file, isn't it?

.frm file can not edit layer.

How did you set layer about 3 languages?

regards

Katsuaki

Sorry about delayed aswer.

My previous expresion wasn´t exact.

See following picture and attached files.

Layer is created in drawing space. It´s a drawing layer. See different layer icons in layer tree.

l´m using multi language drawings rarely so this method is good for me.

This is the best method to multi-language drawing tables that l know. Maybe are better methods

Milan

Great!!

I got hint from your reply and attached file.

(Not only table format, also how to administer Creo file.)

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

You can activate snap to grid, this way it easy to find the edge of the format.

Hello,

Yes, I know your suggested method.

But it is not good because in model sketch, grid is troublesome.

If we can change setting of grid between sketch and drawing, it is one of the best method.

thank you

The most insane thing about this question and the answers is that everyone who uses creo seems to accept this as normal when they should realize this program is at the bottom of the usability barrel, and this should be considered basic functionality but its not.

Really, there is no simple way of recognizing the corner of a drawing format or other geometry and anchoring to it?

That's what PTC is going with? What century was this program coded in?
