CREO does not allow for trimming of only one feature in a solid model.

 

Few options:

1.  Create the center extrusion in the correct shape initially.

2.  Create the center extrusion first.

3.  Make the ends surfaces, make the center solid, solidify the ends after the center has been cut.

  • Surface features remain separate entities that you can individually modify until they are merged with another surface or solidified.

 

 


There is always more to learn in Creo.

The multi-body capability in Creo Parametric 7.0 should allow you to perform the cut on just one body although I haven't specifically tested it yet. Regards, Dan N.
