ISDX Error

WF4

I'm editing a COS in ISDX and trying to change the angle of the tangent of an endpoint.  It won't let me drag it to change the angle and I get this error:

Reference plane of tangent is perpendicular to its surface.

What the heck does that mean and how do I fix it?

In the Tangent tab whilst editing the curve, change the Constraint from Free to Natural [or vise versa - can't remember!] and then in Properties > Plane pick an alternative reference plane perpendicular to the current one.

Its always been in ISDX but doesn't come up very often, one of the techies explained it to me once - something to do with the maths of the surface - but can't remember the precise details,

Sean

Thanks, in this case I already deleted the curve and created a new one.
This time, I tweaked the tangent angle before I dragged the point to the
edge of the surface. Seemed to work better.

This error comes up rather frequently for me and in the past I've just
banged my head on it until it worked. Seems rather dumb, actually, that
I can create a COS and simply by dragging the end point the tangent
reference becomes invalid. I didn't even spec a tangent reference,
Pro|E did, and I had no idea where to do so, making correcting it rather
difficult.
