Importing Jpeg's into Creo 1.0 drawings

Good day all!

I was hoping to find a solution for importing jpegs... etc. into a drw file. Currently, at our location when we import a Jpeg file into our drawing, the resulting import shows a rectangular border with the file name in the center... but not the picture. The option we are using now is one of our users has a seat for Corel draw and of course it’s only on his computer. He can convert the jpeg to a .cdr file and he is able to import this into Creo. This solution works fine for getting the job done but, isn't really the long term solution we are looking for since we all have to funnel this part of the process through him.

Look forward to hearing back from someone on a possible solution.

Thanks!

Try this. (Creo 1.0 M050)

Open your Windows Explorer, find the jpeg, rick click on it and choose Copy.
Into the Creo drawing, from the Layout tab Insert > Object > Create New > Wordpad Document (this opens a Wordpad window)
Right click and choose paste, close the Wordpad Doc, it should now be in your drawing (you may need to do some resizing)
If you can't find the pic (because it's gone a funny size) look in the drawing tree under Objects.

Hope that helps.
