We have recently acquired a number of Dell Precision T7500 workstations.
They are fitted with ATI V5800 graphics cards (I know, Nvidia would be
better - we have what we have). We are running XP Pro (32 bit).
Pro/E runs very nicely on these machines, with no problems seen to date,
apart from a few BSOD episodes before we installed the latest drivers for
the graphics card.
Intralink 3.3, however, is giving us problems. It all works fine, except for
scrolling up and down within a workspace window. It scrolls, but only after
a variable (up to a few seconds) lag. We have seen this on several different
machines, and the problem seems to be the same whether a single screen or
two screens are attached. It also seems to be related to the size of the
window - when the window is maximised, the scrolling is at its worst, and
the problem decreases as the window size is decreased, until it is pretty
well usable when the window fills only about half the screen.
Do you have any suggestions as to what may be causing this behaviour, and
what we can do to cure it?
We have only Microsoft generic mouse drivers installed, by the way.
Any constructive ideas welcomed, as always.
