Is it possible to use analysis results obtained inside sketcher in a sketch relation?

Creo parametric 2.0:

Sketcher analysis results can not be saved or accessed directly (other than copy/paste) in the context of sketcher. I want to measure something in a sketch and use that to drive another dimension in the same sketch via a relation and have it regenerate with the model. I know it is possible to use parameters from a saved analysis feature that is upstream of the sketch but in some cases it would be better to be able to use the analysis results obtained from a sketch in the same sketch. I suspect this may present regeneration issue with parent/child potentially but I have not convinced myself that this is the case. The fact that you can obtain analysis results in the sketcher but can not save them is causing me to ask why.

I have already conceived of two workarounds to this issue both of which require externalizing the analysis results outside and upstream of the sketch of interest. I am curious if anyone has any other ideas on how to embed the design intent into one sketch in such a situation.

You can "over-dimension" something and make its value a reference and then place an "equal" constraint on your entity that you want to control.

I found you question looking for a solution to a question that I have....

I want to use the result of a saved measurement to drive a relation in a sketch... in my example, I have a curve that I measure the length of and have saved the measurement as an analysis feature.  Now, I want to sketch a circle and use the saved analysis feature to drive the diameter in a relation.  The problem I am having is I can't seem to figure out how to get the saved measurement value to appear in the relations.

Now to your question... Not sure if I have what you are looking for exactly, but I have sketched construction line and added a reference dimension.  This reference dimension can then be used in a sketcher relation. sd0=rsd3*2  ~ for example where sd0 is the number I want to drive and rsd3 is the reference dimension that I created as a measurement.

Not exactly the same but nonetheless you have found a useful technique of using ref dims. Another clever use of these is for patterns (another topic).

I am looking for a way to use the results of an analysis in sketch mode; all of this would be done in the context of sketch mode without exiting this mode. Conceptually it would be the ability to embed analysis results in the sketch. So far I have not seen a functional equivalent to this proposed.
