I would like this option too!

Should also be possible select a alternative coordinated system to generate the values according X, Y and Z, for those cases of complex parts oriented in a different direction of standard coordinated system. Only solid geometry should be considered because in some cases there are surfaces bigger than the resulting solid geometry.

In ModelCHECK the overall_size info includes surface and solid both.

The workaround is use Model Outline/size functionality in EMX (Expert Moldbase Extension)
