The steps:
1.) I create a circle and the diameter goes out 6 places
2.) I re-dimension the circle anid it rounds the actual dimension to the display setting of 3 places.
This is a real pain. There are work arounds but the actual dimension should never be rounded.
If you edit the properties of the dimension, you can give it the actual value. You also need the Round dimension value check box checked.
I also noticed that when you use an operator in specifying patterns, it rounds like 1/3 becomes .33333. But if you do this to the dimension edit, it goes on for 12 places.
It is a poor implementation, and I think it actually behaved differently in Creo 1.0. You gotta be on your toes with Creo.
