OhCreo... sticky highlighting

Hi all,

Does anyone else experience this phenomenon? (I am tempted to call it a
"problem" but I fear that it is "intended functionality")

In an assembly, if I click through the components in the tree, they will
highlight on the screen but then some of them STAY highlighted. They are
not actually SELECTED, but they are highlighted in red. Clicking on empty
space does not clear the highlight. CTRL-A does, and re-selecting them from
the tree and then clicking on empty space does. I wonder if this is a
setting bug (there's a non-default config option "selecting component on
screen highlights the tree" or something - I have that turned on)

Well, just wondering if this is MY problem or does everyone see it happen
and if so can anyone explain it - i.e. why is it like this, what's the
benefit / workflow, does it infuriate you, etc.?

Please donate your $.02 to my cause.

Thanks,

-Nate

I have the same problem. I have a good video card. I never understood why it does it sometimes.

There is some confusion about what I mean - so here's a video (probably
stripped @ 3.8Mb.)

Sure - not infuriating - and a regen prolly works to rid it - so does a
CTRL-A. I just wanted to see if there were any reasons that this might
exist as intentional.

Glad I am not alone. Thanks for your input.

I have never been able to make this happen consistently like this. When it happens, it's aggravating but never consistent as you show it.

Yes... I see the same "enhancement". I also, get moments where preselection highlighting just ceases to function for a while, then magically reappears later in the session. No ryhme or reason that I can make out...
