Gurus,
Thought I would be clever and model an o-ring as an ellipse using a sweep. Both the trajectory and cross section are ellipses with the major and minor diameter equall. This way you can show the o-ring as an oval in an assembly by making it flexible. NOT! The o-ring is driven by a family table for the trajectory major and minor diameters. Pro will not let you make a family table dimension flexible. Is there another way to accomplish this other than the obvious of making a seperate part. There are about 40+ instances in the generic and the drawing is table driven.
Thanks
Greg

Friday DUH moment. If the instances are "locked" you can't make it flexible. Unlock them and Pro will allow family table dimensions to be flexible.

I'd just use a revolve, they're a lot simpler than a sweep. I made a family table of O-rings like that years ago, that were flexible to account for "squish" and the angle of grooves.
