PTC recommended standard to represent planes in drawings

Hello,

Do we have a PTC recommended standard or a best practice to show up datum planes in drawing?

It is always better to show the datum planes existing in the model or the assembly into the drawing rather than inserting datum symbols or over-riding existing dimensions and show the same as a datum----- This is my view point.

Best regards,

Simha

Layers will be your best method of doing this. However, I am not sure why you want to show the actual model planes in the drawing. Can you describe why it is you wish to do this?

‌Are you trying to show datums for geometric tolerancing?
