Parametric Note in a Dimension

Parametric Note in a Dimension

Hello everybody.

I'd like to use a parametric note of a Hole feature (&NOTE_1:FID_xxx)

inside a manual dimension using overwrite option (@o ...).

The purpose is to have a typical hole annotation (diameter and pitch)  inside the dimension and not as separate annotation).

In the pic I'd like to see "M16X1.5" as a dimension.

Thanks

Pierluigi

Overriding dimensions is never a good idea!

What is wrong with the standard hole note?

You do not need to use the 2 diameter dimensions when calling out the hole.

Hello

I'm really agree the overwrite dimension is a bad idea !

The point is the std annotation (M16x1.5) is a note with an arrow we should address to the diameter value Ø16, but we don't use this kind of note.

We normally use the text (M16x1.5) in the dimension lines.

I can write a note using the parameter of this hole annotation (&NOTE_xxx:FID_xxx) but not inside the dim .

@marrigoni

I agree with @BenLoosli

I don't think there is any option to add such note in Overwritten dimension, what about relating note to Overwritten dimension, possibly it can be an option.

Yes

Today the solution is to attach (relate to object) the note to the "empty" overwrite dimension .

Thanks

Pierluigi
