My first exposure to Pro/E was when the industrial design firm I workedfor hired another engineering/CAD firm to build several of our designsin Pro/E for a client. This would have been around 1994-1995 in thenorthern suburbs of Detroit. The consultancy had taken over an oldstyling studio and the round 'turntable' rom was where the pro/E guysworked. It was a windowless room with no overhead lighting, only desklamps. At the time it was thought that lower lighting was better thanoverhead for computer work. It was like a cave. I remember being fascinated by Pro/E, but didn't get to see much. Notsure what version it was. It was 1996, though, when I started on Pro/Erev. 16 (18 was out) with a new job here in Columbus. It's interesting how little, visually, Pro/E changed from that rev. 3.0screen shot to what I remember of rev. 18. Doug SchaeferThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
