Pro/E drawing: How can I fill in an individual table cell?

I've created a simple table (3 x 2)

Can anybody tell me if it's possible to fill in an individual cell of this table?

Ian,

unfortunatelly you can't set background color for table cell. This functionality is not implemented.

Hi Ian...

Actually you CAN do this, but you'll likely not like the technique.

In regular Pro/REPORT (drawing tables), Martin is correct in that there is no way to fill in a cell table.

HOWEVER, using OLE objects, you can add an Excel table or other graphic that DOES have filled in tables. See the screenshot attached. I made a simple Excel spreadsheet of some values and blanked a couple of cells. When I dropped that OLE spreadsheet into Pro/E, the cells stayed filled.

If you want the table for display purposes only, then YES, you can duplicate the effect. If you want a parametric table or other default drawing table, then no, you cannot fill the cell. To use OLE (object-linking & embedding), go to the Layout tab in drawing mode. On the Insert panel, select Object. When the tool opens, select Create from File and browse to the Excel spreadsheet. The performance was sluggish in WF5 but it works!

I know it's splitting hairs but I hope it helps!

Thanks!

-Brian
