Pro/E modeling techniques for Pro/NC?

The biggest problem for us was starting with a 'start part' with three
principal planes and a co-ord system. Secondly use absolute accuracy in
part mode and NC mode.

For us, designing parts approx 1" cube to 24" cube, we use abs accuracy
of .0001".

Try to avoid all geometry checks on the part before going into NC.

If you have many similar parts. Instead of using family tables, use
Interchange groups. You can then specify functional features and faces
for NC that may not be easily family tabled.

Lastly, (and I have not got this to work yet) try to start specifying
standard materials for your parts so that Pro-Man can use the
'Machinablilty Database' to recognize the materials and decide machining
speeds and feeds.
