Hi Folks,
Working on admin stuff for internal PDF creation; again!
Mostly there. Happy with line weights. An issue with our choice of TT
font of arialn ( = Arial Narrow) that comes standard with Windows
computers. It works really well and is lovely and clear in our PDFs.
However or old QA symbol, that looks like an unattached BoM balloon with
QA inside it, now has the lettering offset. I could make another symbol
or somehow fix up the alignment of this one (though that has back
compatible issues) but I thought I would ask what else is happening out in
our ProE world.
I am leaning pretty heavily towards replacing the QA balloon with a simple
text box as I can make these in a note or a dimension with no special
symbol so it is very robust. This method also works for waiver tolerances
should they be necessary.
There is the Inspection dimension facility inside ProE but that only works
for dimensions and not notes and it really sucks if you have text
associated with your dimension and even worse if you drag the dimension
outside the witness lines. Non starter for me.
Thoughts?
