Reference dependency to FEA feature

Creo 2 (M060) PDMLink 10.0 M040

I've got a user who is trying to check in a part that has a ghost object. The ghost object turns out to be an assembly that was done for FEA simulation.

We don't want that reference or even that FEA assembly anymore. The reference is called a surface region (fea feature). We deleted all the features and models out of the FEA assembly. We deleted all the constraints and materials and loads and everything out of the FEA assembly. The part is still saying it's dependent on the FEA assembly.

Any idea how to get rid of that reference? Hope it makes sense. Maybe somebody with a little FEA and PDMLink experience can help.

Steve,

The surface region resides in the part file which will need to be deleted as it probibly has an external reference to the FEA assembly. Once you have this deleted you should be ok. If not you may need to go in to the reference viewer while the part is open and manually delete the residue references from within the reference viewer.

Hope this helps,
Don Anderson
