Repeat Region data and Drawing notes

Does any one know how to get the Item numbers from a repeat region (simple) and add them to notes on a drawing so they will be parametric?

No, There is a product enhancement idea to improve this but no work-around.

Refer to rpt.index in a note or symbol.

Don't think that is possible since the item number is not an external parameter that can be grabbed. It is internal to Creo and maintained in the internal part database structure. This is also why the item number is not available to Windchill.

The item is a dynamic number and can change as you add and remove components and sort the repeat region with different criteria. This becomes the driving factor in exposing the item number so we can do exactly what you want. We have many notes that say position item 3 and item 4 with a .020 gap, etc.

This is where setting item numbers via component (not part) parameters is good. They should be visible as a parameter that is part of the component-as-feature in the assembly.

Component parameters are not subject to any unexpected changes the way that automatic repeat region row numbers are.
