Hi everyone! I used Solidworks at my last job, and I am still relatively new to using Creo Parametrics.
I was wondering if there is some setting that will allow the model file to be overwritten when saved rather than adding another saved file to the folder with a progressing number extension? I end up having tons of the files for 1 part/assembly because I save my work often.
Can anyone help me out here, PLEASE??
Thanks!
Making incrementing versions is the way it works. There's no option to not create versions.
There are utilities to purge the old files - Search for Purge and or Spekan Purge. They usually allow a certain number of versions to remain.
I can't say that I've needed to use old versions, but they would be available. It's not like disk space is costly.
Finally, the forum subsection this is in is really for help with using the forums. Check Creo Discussions for help with Creo.
I've gone aheard and moved this discussion into the Creo community.
