Scientific Notation Mass properties

Hi

I am currently working on CREO 11, when calculating mass properties for any CAD file, the results always comes up as scientific notation (MASS = 6.0445521e+01 GRAM ).
I tried looking and adjusting descimal dislplay in the configuration but it does not affect the mass calculation results.

Is there a way to get the mass calculation as:
MASS = 60.445 GRAM

Thanks

What are you using the mass for?

We use a relation of WEIGHT = pro_mp_mass and it gives values that are not in scientific notion even though they show that way in the mass analysis window.

This then gets put on our drawing formats truncated to 1 decimal place.

Hi Ben

I usually share a screen shot or just save the analysys in a txt file so I can share with suppliers, and non-technical personel from the procurement team in early stages of product development. More than once they have been confused and communication isn't really fluent.
Would be great if this could be somehow set up to show just decimals or the "real number" you have in your example.

Hi @juanchonesa

Currently, there is no option that affects the display of the values within the mass property/mass property analysis windows.  This is covered in CS189114.

The only Product Idea that I found was created in 2014 and is currently closed.  You may consider creating a new one.

Otherwise, Ben's method for using relations to translate the analysis parameters into standard notation is a viable solution.
