Currently we plot drawings to file using the Generic PostScript plotter. An external tool (GhostScript) converts the .ps file to .pdf.
I've seen references to searchable PDFs, but haven't figured out how to get PostScript plot to use text instead of pen strokes. The "Interface" user manual says this is possible, but it looks like you need to have the full version of Adobe Acrobat installed and have use Pro/Es SaveAs PDF functionality.
Is there any way to do this without having Acrobat? If Pro/E goes needs Acrobat, then surely, there's a way to do this in a PostScript file.
Using Wildfire 4.
