Sheetmetal Pattern Problem

Ok, I'm trying to create a patter of a cutout for a motor cover. I need ventilation on the backside of the cover for heat dissipation. When trying to pattern the Extrusion and Flat, the Extrusion is created but not the Flat. I get regeneration errors stating that the Flat has failed. See below.

The error states "References to failed feature are not allowed". What could be the reason for this?

Floyd,

Try to pattern the extrude cut first and later pattern the flat wall (this will be reference pattern). Or use flange wall instead of flat wall.
